The Founders Story

From Turf Cleaner to Turf Innovator

In 2021, I started a professional artificial turf cleaning company with one goal in mind: figure out how to properly clean artificial grass and eliminate dog urine odors the right way.

At the time, there was almost no reliable information available about artificial turf maintenance. There were no clear standards, no proven systems, and very little guidance on what tools or products actually worked for removing pet urine smell from synthetic grass. If you searched for how to remove dog urine odor from artificial turf, you’d mostly find surface-level advice — rinse it with water, use a household cleaner, try an enzyme spray.

But after working in real residential yards, I quickly learned that artificial turf odor problems run much deeper than the surface.

For the first year, everything was trial and error. I tested different turf cleaning tools, different artificial turf odor eliminators, oxidizing products, enzyme treatments, and various application methods. I studied how urine interacts with turf infill, how bacteria builds up beneath the fibers, and why odor keeps coming back even after it seems “clean.”

What I discovered changed everything.

Artificial turf doesn’t smell because it’s dirty on top. It smells because bacteria, urine crystallization, and organic buildup embed deep within the infill layer of the turf system. In warm climates — and even in humid regions across the United States — heat and moisture accelerate that process. Simply spraying the surface does not solve the problem. To truly remove dog urine odor from artificial grass, you have to treat the source inside the turf base.

Over the next three years, I scaled my professional turf cleaning company to multiple full-time turf technicians, servicing more than 200 residential yards every single month. We worked in high-use pet yards, luxury homes, and heavily trafficked artificial lawns. As we grew, we became recognized as one of the top artificial turf cleaning companies in the nation.

But scaling exposed a serious weakness in the industry.

The oxidizing turf odor removal products we had relied on were harsh and difficult to work with long term. They required careful handling to avoid skin irritation. They were tough on our pumps and sprayers, constantly breaking down equipment due to their corrosive nature. And while they could temporarily reduce odor, they weren’t engineered for sustainable, long-term artificial grass maintenance.

I realized that if Dino was going to grow — and if we were going to serve homeowners across the country — we needed a better solution. Not just for performance, but for safety, equipment longevity, and long-term usability.

During the research and development phase, one priority became just as important as performance: Dino Juice had to be simple enough for homeowners to use without special equipment or complicated instructions. I wanted a professional-grade artificial turf odor eliminator that was not only powerful, but also easy to handle — something with an extremely low barrier to entry.

No mixing ratios.

No complex application systems.

No specialized training required.

Just attach a garden hose and spray.

It needed to be plug-and-play — a homeowner-friendly artificial turf cleaning solution that anyone could use to eliminate dog urine odor from synthetic grass safely and effectively.

After hundreds of hours of field research and consulting with professional chemists, Dino Juice went through multiple iterations and rigorous testing. We evaluated odor neutralization speed, long-term effectiveness, safety for daily use, compatibility with professional turf cleaning equipment, and ease of use for DIY homeowners.

We tested it against other artificial turf odor eliminators on the market. We applied it in extreme heat. We gathered feedback from real clients in real residential settings. We refined the delivery system so it could connect directly to a standard garden hose, allowing homeowners to simply spray and treat their artificial lawn without complicated setups.

The result was a professional-grade artificial turf cleaning solution that delivered faster odor neutralization, longer-lasting freshness, safer handling, and zero damage to our equipment — while also being incredibly easy for homeowners to use.

Since 2025, Dino Juice has been used daily inside our professional turf cleaning company, servicing over 200 yards every month. This isn’t a white-label product created for marketing. It is the same artificial turf odor eliminator we trust in our own service business, in real backyards, with real dogs, and real performance expectations.

Today, Dino Tech exists to raise the national standard for artificial turf maintenance. Our mission is to provide homeowners, turf professionals, and property managers with a professional-grade, easy-to-use turf cleaning solution that eliminates dog urine odor at the source while remaining safe for families and pets when used as directed.

Artificial grass is a long-term investment. It deserves a long-term maintenance solution that works — and works simply.

Dino Juice was built from experience, tested at scale, engineered for performance, and designed for real people.

Attach a hose. Spray. Done.

We don’t just sell it.

We use it every single day.

And we stand behind it — because we built it to solve the real problem inside artificial turf systems nationwide.
